Students & AThletes

You have a responsibility to discover how great you can become.

In high school, I wasn’t a highly recruited athlete with my future already mapped out. In fact, I didn’t play my first organized sport until my junior year.

A few years later, I had earned a Division I scholarship. Eventually, I became a National Champion and reached the NFL.

That journey is a huge part of why speaking to young people is so important to me.

I know how much can change when a young person begins to truly believe in what’s possible for their life—but belief alone isn’t enough. At some point, you have to take responsibility for turning your potential into something real.

I want students and athletes to understand that where they are today doesn’t have to determine where they finish.

Through honest storytelling, humor, and lessons from my own journey, I challenge young people to take ownership of their future, develop confidence in who they are, embrace adversity, become great teammates and leaders, and build the habits necessary to maximize their potential.

For athletes, I also bring the perspective of someone who has experienced every level of the journey—from learning the game in high school, to Division I football, to winning a National Championship, and ultimately reaching the NFL.

But the message is bigger than sports.

Whether a student’s dream is to become a professional athlete, entrepreneur, doctor, teacher, artist, or something they haven’t discovered yet, I want them to leave believing one thing:

Your potential is a gift. Maximizing it is your responsibility.
